Celebrate your progress and success is step 21 of 21 Days of Focus. You made it! Hopefully, these last 21 days have helped you to form a focus habit.
It’s important to acknowledge and celebrate the progress and successes that you have. If you don’t, you can experience burnout. You may think that you haven’t accomplished very much, but by tracking your progress, not allowing doubts and fears or comparing yourself to others to slow you down, you’ll be amazed at how far you’ve come!
I don’t know how you feel, but these 21 days have flown by for me. What this exercise in focus has confirmed for me is that time passes very quickly. If we don’t focus each moment, it is easy to get distracted and not accomplish the goals, dreams and projects that we want to. Time marches on and it’s up to us to seize each moment and make each moment count.
My goal with this program was to develop a new focus habit to get things done and move closer to my dream of being picked up by a major publisher. I used all of these focus steps to keep moving forward.
Within this time I redid my website, created this content, attended a meeting on book publicity, attended an event to meet 12 literary agents, attended a writer’s marketing conference, and started in earnest my book proposal to send out. It was a very productive 21 days!
I felt a responsibility to myself and to you to practice what I preach! My goal is to continue to make these 21 steps, instead, 21 focus habits.
I’d love to hear how these steps have helped you develop a new focus habit. What dream, goal or project did you move closer to or accomplish? Remember:
